Health camp for prison inmates

CHENNAI: A comprehensive health camp was organised for inmates of the Puzhal Central Prison (II) here on Friday.

The Prison Department in association with Jaya Educational Trust, Tiruninravur, conducted the camp in which about 60 doctors and para-medical staff of different specialities examined 672 prisoners. The trust donated a multi-functional dental chair to the prison.

The camp was organised under the instructions of Director-General of Prisons, R. Natraj, to improve the general health of prisoners, according to an official release.
