Meet on dyslexia

CHENNAI: The Madras Dyslexia Association (MDA), a city-based voluntary organisation that supports children with learning disabilities, will organise ‘Samyukth,’ a multidisciplinary conference on learning disability on January 30 and 31. The conference will involve special educators, psychiatrists, parents, speech and language pathologists and teachers of mainstream schools.

Organisers said that the conference was aimed at increasing awareness of learning disability and providing insight based on research that is specific to the Indian context.

Eminent educationists and special educators from Indian and abroad would participate, addressing various issues in different sessions.

Interested school teachers, principals, remedial teachers, parents with training in learning disability, therapists and counsellors could register to participate. More details are available on www.mdachennai.com.
