NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old labourer has been arrested at Madanpur Khadar in the Capital on charges of murdering a boy for a mobile phone. Ten-year-old Vikas had gone to get a mobile phone recharged on January 5 evening but did not return till late in the night. He was found dead in a plot with multiple head injuries the next morning. His phone was found missing and switched off. The police zeroed in on Sonu alias Kali, a casual labourer. During interrogation, he purportedly told the police that he smashed the boy’s head with a stone and took away his mobile phone and Rs.50 from his pocket.
