Bangalore: The programme began with a quiz to test the knowledge of the people present on household remedies using neem and other plants with medicinal values. The occasion was an interactive meeting organised by The Dignity Foundation, Bangalore Chapter, here on Sunday. DiscussionSuparna P., senior research fellow at the Foundation for Revitalisation of Local Health Traditions (FRLHT), spoke about and discussed traditional medicine in India and how to bring back old and effective household recipes for a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Suparna presented the audience with a slide show that contained facts, recipes and knowledge about day-to-day medicinal herbs. She said, “We must not let this knowledge die. That is why I will document each person’s recipes and consolidate it into a book called Amruth.” The Dignity Foundation, conducted the monthly meeting based on the cover feature of Dignity Dialogue, a magazine for productive aging.
