Bangalore: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa’s convoy during his city inspection on Sunday had only a limited number of vehicles. “See that no vehicles are allowed to follow us unnecessarily,” was the first instruction that Mr. Yeddyurappa issued to officials as soon as he arrived at “Krishna”, the Chief Minister’s Home Office.

Following this, only about 15 vehicles, including police vehicles, were allowed to move along with the five buses in which Chief Minister, ABIDe members, officials and media personnel travelled.

Earlier, about 50 to 100 vehicles used to move along with the Chief Minister’s convoy during Mr. Yeddyurappa’s city inspection.

According to a senior officer, the number of vehicles in the Chief Minister’s convoy can be further reduced with a proper planning of the visit.
