Cash, jewels taken away

BANGALORE: A sum of Rs. 65 lakh in cash and jewellery valued at Rs. 80 lakh were reportedly stolen from a house in J.P. Nagar here on December 31, 2008. The police are yet to obtain clues.

“A complaint has been received about the burglary from a software engineer Madhu V. Raju, a resident of J.P. Nagar 1st Phase,” said S. Ravi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Division).

The family had hired a couple as domestic help. The couple allegedly took away the cash and jewels.
