Two Ayyappa devotees killed in accident

RAMANATHAPURAM: Two persons from Amberpet in Hyderabad were killed and 9 others injured when a private bus hit against a Sports Utility Vehicle at Kattu Paramakudi near here on Monday.

A group of 11 persons, who started their journey to Sabarimala on January 6, was going to Madurai after visiting Rameswaram in the SUV. The bus was on its way to Paramakudi when the accident occurred.

While Venkatesh (40) was killed on the spot, another passenger Karthick (40) died at hospital. While three were sent to Rajaji Hospital in Madurai, others were admitted to the Government Hospital at Paramakudi.
