Illicit liquor seized

ATTUR: Police seized 500 litres of illicit liquor which was being smuggled to Salem on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip off, police personnel conducted a vehicle check and intercepted a car. On seeing the police, two occupants in the car pulled over and fled the spot.

Personnel found tubes filled with illicit liquor inside the vehicle. They arrested Sankar (27) of Kurichi.
