Two drown as bike plunges into canal

Moga: Two bikers drowned after their two-wheeler skidded off the road and fell into a canal at Dholewala here on Dharamkot-Jalandhar road, police said on Tuesday.

The victims identified as Ramandeep Singh and Satnam Singh were returning from Kanian village after Lohri festival celebrations on Monday night, when the incident occurred.

Police said Ramandeep, who was riding the motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve and the vehicle skidded off the road.
