Reverse brain drain likely, says Annadurai

NAMAKKAL: The bright, talented scientists, engineers and other techies of Indian origin, who migrated for jobs, are now willing to return to India and take up jobs here after the success of Chandrayaan I project, its Director Mylswamy Annadurai said.

This was a welcome trend and it had to be celebrated by the people in the country, he told the students of Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Paramathi Velur, near here, on Monday.

Participating in an interaction programme, ‘Meet the Moon Man of India’ organised by the college, Mr. Annadurai asked the students to strive hard to emerge successful in their endeavours.

If they were not able to achieve what they wanted, they should try to excel in other fields of interest.

He pointed out that sustainable development would happen only when all the sectors in the country registered growth. The massive growth of Information Technology sector alone would not ensure overall development.

Mr. Annadurai told the students to respect their parents and teachers.

He explained the purpose of Chandrayaan mission, its benefits and the future lunar missions of Indian Space Research Organisation.
