ARIYALUR: Human resource generation is key to the economic progress of the country, V. Dhanabalan, Madras High Court Judge, emphasised at a recent function in the district.

The function was held to mark the valediction of the recent five-day training programme on Bar Bending conducted by the Chennai-based Pulkit Bar Benders Academy at the Industrial Training Institute in Ariyalur. The training entitled the 54 participants comprising uneducated village youth to Government-endorsed certificates of Pondicherry Engineering College. They also received equipment and assistance.

Mr. Dhanbalan said India that constituted one-sixth of the world population of 600 crore people could take economic strides only if the uneducated youths in villages were transformed into human resource through infusion of requisite expertise in various kinds of works involving physical efforts.
