Somdev to meet Prakash

New Delhi: Aiming to make the main draw of the Australian Open, Somdev Devvarman will clash with compatriot Prakash Amritraj in the first round of the qualifying event of the first Grand Slam of the year on Wednesday.

Somdev, who reached the Chennai Open final, has been seeded 28 in the draw of 128.

As 16 players will make the men’s singles event from the qualifying event, only one Indian can advance either Somdev or Prakash. — PTI
