Gaurav Gill injured

BANGALORE: Gaurav Gill sustained a hand injury during the recce run for the Rally de Portugal which begins on April 3, according to a media release from TSI Racing.

The Portugal rally is the third leg of the World Rally Championship.

Gaurav, while trying to avoid a collision with a car coming in the opposite direction, swerved and went off the road, resulting in an injury to his hand and minor damages to the car. He is, however, expected to be fit in time for the rally.

In the Cyprus Rally held a fortnight ago, Gill, despite a good show in all the stages, had to virtually push the car after it stalled at the finish.
