Declared brain-dead, 16-month-old Abhilasha Rahurikar became the country’s youngest cadaver organ donor, said Dr Anupam Sibal, group medical director, Apollo Hospitals. Her mother Vineeta Rahurikar said it was a tough decision to make. What Abhilasha’s parents have done will surely give hope to many patients, as this gesture has created awareness about organ donation.
