Sandeep emerges sole leader

HYDERABAD: L. Sandeep Naidu with full points from six rounds emerged the sole leader in the A2H All India FIDE-rating chess tournament being held at VNRVJIET here on Wednesday. Sandeep outwitted K. S. Anand Reddy in Kings Indian Defence in 36 moves on Wednesday.

Easy win for CASC

Cantonment Area Sports Club defeated Young Hyderabad 4-0 in the A-2 Division hockey league championship here on Wednesday. Sai, Sharat, Yashwanth and Santosh were the scorers.

Sports school selections

District Sports Authority of Hyderabad will organise selections for vacancies in the SAAP Regional Sports Schools, Regional Sports Hostels and Academies on May 22 and 23 in the age group of eight to 11 years for boys and girls at Gymkhana Grounds (Secunderabad).
