Washington: United States President Barack Obama is understood to have impressed upon his Pakistan counterpart Asif Ali Zardari the need for Islamabad to concentrate on security challenges it was facing, than considering India as an “existential threat.” State Department spokesman Robert Wood said after Mr. Obama’s talks with Mr. Zardari: “we made it very clear to them that the existential threat to Pakistan comes from the Taliban and not from India.” — PTI
