Testing Centre for NCVT certification

TIRUCHI: The TANSTIA-FNF Service Centre (TFSC), a collaborative venture of Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries’ Association, Chennai, and Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Germany, have designated RK Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Centre at Thuvakkudi here as its Testing Centre for NCVT (National Centre for Vocational Training) certification.

Objective

Functioning with the main objective of empowering small industries to perform optimally, the core services of TFSC includes training, consultancy, information and handholding of SMEs bringing out publications, project profiles, study reports and organising trade delegations, according to a press release issued here by the Managing Trustee of RK Charitable Trust N. Kanagasababathy.

TANSTIA-FNF service has been recognised by the Directorate General of Education and Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, as an approved body to assess competencies of workers as per NCVT standards and recommend names of successful candidates for issuance of certificates under Skill Development Initiative Scheme based on modular employable skills.

Periodical test

The trust will provide infrastructure and other facilities to carry out such tests periodically in fabrication (all welding) courses, and production and manufacturing (milling, turning and grinding) courses for NCVT certification, opening up opportunities for trained and experienced people to obtain the qualification that will be useful in finding jobs in the country and abroad. hose who desire to apply for the NCVT certificates can contact the R.K.
