Destination Bangalore for media course

For those who boldly take up a social cause and work towards achieving it, journalism makes a career that is dynamic, rewarding as well as absorbing. As the fourth estate has a halo around it and hence considered sacred, it needs a lot of discipline, perseverance, concentration and the ability to see beyond what is visible to make it to the top in the field. Bangalore-based Sri Sri Centre for Media Studies (SSCMS), a unit of Sri Sri Ravishankar’s ‘Art of Living ’, offers hands-on training to bridge the gap between the journalists-to-be and the media industry.

Syllabus

The syllabus comprises an in-house news bulletin desk, practical reporting, web journalism, documentary film making, layout designing and composition. The curriculum is claimed to exactly match the needs of the industry. The institute also provides an effective interaction between the industry professionals and its students on a daily basis.

SSCMS has a management team that is equipped with flexible and adaptable education policy. Faculty from the media industry, focus on communication skills, imparting training to work under deadline pressure, compulsory internship and stress management are some of the notable features of the training programme.

Anyone with a graduation or an equivalent degree in any stream can apply at sscms@sscms.org. For details, contact 080 - 22457572. So are the future journalists ready?
