RDT should continue the good work

With the passing away of Father Vincent Ferrer, the RDT founder, the people of Anantapur district have lost a great humanitarian. The yeoman service rendered by him for over forty years in terms of education, health, housing and for the welfare of poor will be remembered for ever. Hope the RDT continues the good work launched by him with the same spirit in future.

PG seats in Kurnool Medical College

Kurnool Medical College is one of the best medical colleges in the State. Recently, some of the PG seats in the institution have been cancelled due to lack of infrastructural needs such as MRI scan unit and allied technology. There is a need for restoring these seats. Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy who did not hesitate to offer the best of facilities to RIMS, Kadapa, ignoring other important colleges of the region should look into the matter and do the needful.

Tungabhadra Express to Tirupati

At present, the 7607/7608 Tungabhadra Express is running between Secunderabad and Kurnool. It is a long pending request to extend this train upto Tirupati so that it can serve as a day-time train for the commuters of the Rayalseema region. Since it is only an extension of the existing train, there should be no difficulty for the Railway authorities to do the needful.
