The DOEACC Centre, Calicut, has invited applications for admission to MCA course. Bachelors degree holders in any discipline with 50 per cent marks in aggregate and mathematics as one of the subjects (50 per cent marks) can apply.

Admissions are open for the management seats based on an entrance examination for MCA conducted by CEE, Government of Kerala. The government seats will be filled during the counselling to be held in Thriruvananthapuram. Limited hostel facilities are available for boys and girls in the campus.

The Regional Vocational Training Institute for Women, Kazhakuttom, Thiruvananthapuram, provides training facilities for women to the following job-oriented courses starting from August 2009 onwards.

•Computer operator and programming assistant: 60 seats; duration: one year. Plus Two holders or three-year engineering diploma holders can apply.

•Dress-making: 15 seats; duration: one year. Those who have passed SSLC or equivalent examination can apply.

•Secretarial practice: 16 seats; duration: one year. Plus Two holders with proficiency in English are can apply.

•Desktop publishing: 32 seats; duration: one year. Plus Two holders with English; typing speed: 30 words per minute in regional language are eligible for admission.

•Architectural draughtsmanship: 32 seats; duration: two years. Those who have passed 10th standard with science (physics,chemistry and maths) are eligible to apply.

The Institute of Distance Education under the University of Kerala invites application for admission to the two-year Master of Business Administration through distance education mode.

The varsity has reduced the duration of this course from three year to two years.

The Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Biomedical Technology Wing, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for admission to M.Phil. degree course in biomedical technology.
