RPI, SSD hold rally

The Republican Party of India (RPI) and the Samta Sainik Dal (SSD) on Wednesday organised a rally to protest against the policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party Government in the State. The rally was flagged off from the Freedom Park and culminated at the Banappa Park. The rally comprised mid-day meal scheme workers, slum dwellers, Devadasis and Jogammas, hawkers, snake charmers, autorickshaw drivers and people from other downtrodden communities. RPI president Ramdas Athavale and SSD president M. Venkataswamy were present.
