Amar Seva Sangam gets more facilities

TIRUNELVELI: The Consulate General of Japan, Chennai, Kazuo Minagawa, inaugurated the hostel for physically challenged girls, barrier-free dining centre and a common kitchen in Amar Seva Sangam at Ayikudi near Tenkasi in the district on Wednesday.

Addressing the programme, Mr. Kazuo Minagawa noted that the Government of Japan, which had assisted 1,255 projects in128 countries, had funded US$ 6.10 million for 98 development projects in south India since 1990.

While expressing satisfaction that the Amar Seva Sangam had well utilised the assistance, he lauded the cleanliness on its premises.

Collector M. Jayaraman and Vice Consul, Consulate General of Japan participated.
