Award for Govindaraju

Udupi: Scholar K. Govindaraju from Mysore has been chosen for the Kadengodlu Kavya Prashasti for his anthology of poems “Valmikiya Aayusu, Vyaasana, Manasu”.

In a press release, Krishna Bhat, director of Rashtrakavi Govinda Pai Samshodhana Kendra Heranje, said that Mr. Govindaraju belongs to Dalit community. After taking voluntary retirement from the State Bank of Mysore, he has been pursuing the legal profession.

He has written three anthologies of poems.
