Chitradurga: Chitradurga district seems all set to witness a change for the better once the second campus of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) is established. P. Balaram, Director, IISc. who was here recently to inspect the land identified for the campus at Kudapur village in Challakere taluk, told The Hindu that the institute was eager to start the project as early as possible. RequirementsHe said that initially the institute would need around 150 scientists and 1,000 research faculty. “Based on requirements, staff strength will be enhanced and more scientists appointed,” he added.
