Bank disburses guarantee free loans

Udhagamandalam: At a function organised here on Friday, the Punjab National Bank (PNB) disbursed guarantee free loans to artisans.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy General Manager of the bank, S.M. Veerappan, said that the bank has joined Bosch India Limited to finance carpenters, electricians and artisans to purchase modern hi-tech electrical equipment.

Under the scheme the bank will disburse guarantee free term loans without insisting on collateral security to the artisans. The facility will be extended by all the 68 branches in Tiruchi circle.

He disclosed that the bank will be opening two ATMs here shortly.

The Regional Manager, Bosch India Ltd, Swaminathan, said that the artisans should be well trained.

The Deputy Director, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, urged the beneficiaries to make use of the training programmes organised by the institute.

Among those present was the Branch Manager V.Murugesan.
