Vamshi, Shaik crack centuries

HYDERABAD: A century by Vamshi Rao (134 not out) helped Syndicate Bank record a six-wicket win over Balaji Colts in the A-Division (two-day) league cricket championship here on Saturday.

In another match, Shaik Mohammad (109) enabled Oxford Blues post a five-wicket win over Visaka CC.

Manish of GHMC Swimming Pool (Secunderabad) clinched honours in the 50m freestyle event for boys under eight in the GHMC annual open swimming championship, which was inaugurated by S.P. Singh, Commissioner & Special Officer of GHMC, at Secunderabad here.

Surabhi badminton

Warangal District Badminton Association will organise Surabhi Manohar Rao memorial district championship for boys and girls in the age groups of 13 to 19 years, for men and women and also for veterans (45 years & above) at District Sports Authority Stadium (Warangal) from July 25 to 26, according to P. Ramesh Reddy, secretary of the WDBA.
