Brace up for showers
Well, the monsoons might be a little delayed but that’s no reason for you not to update your wardrobe for the monsoon this year. Monsoons and raincoats are synonymous with each other. Colourful and attractive raincoats or ‘windcheaters’ have been in vogue for sometime now and continue to be so. Look out for those cute and bright coloured coats which are available in the market. And these days they come in a compact bag too! Another issue during monsoons is the footwear. Girls and guys, lock up your boots and heels. It is time for you to go pick up a pair of transparent and strappy flip flops which are available in the market in striking colours and designs. And people, fold your pants up, unless you want them wet! Capris and shorts are the best option for college-goers in this season. Girls, a piece of advice: pick up dresses and skirts in darker shades as lighter shades tend to get transparent when wet. Add a little bit of cheer to the otherwise grey weather with vibrant coloured tops and dresses. Choose rubber, leather or the glossy plastic belts and avoid black metals and silver which tend to darken or lose shine when wet. Also, while choosing a handbag or a college bag make sure you choose a waterproof one. Look out for the chic transparent plastic purses. Talking about waterproof, avoid applying any make-up which will smudge like foundation or rouge. Instead apply the long lasting colour stay lip colour and also opt for waterproof eye liner and kajjal. The season for cottons is over and its time for you to bring out the synthetics. Wear synthetic salwars with cotton lining to be comfortable. Last but not the least, let your hair down and enjoy the weather!
