Dress up your feet
smart walk At the Pavers England show
The city got a taste of European footwear designs at the recent Pavers England fashion show. The show was organised to mark the launch of Koblerr as a destination store for Pavers England. The Koblerr showroom on TTK Road was the venue for the show. Models in sarongs walked up and down the two-storey store, sporting footwear from Pavers England. It looked like essentially beach wear with floaters and sandals with avec flowers in yellow and orange being displayed in this round. The range had nothing new to offer, and it didn’t get any better with the other rounds that had the models dressed in formals. The women’s collection had flip flops, mules, pumps and boots. Bling and glamour eluded the collection, except for a pair of pink wedge heels and flat footwear in green that managed to salvage some pride. Subtle range
Women with subtle taste may just find something for them. In comparison, the men’s collection was decent, with a range of lace-ups, sandals and slip-ons. Perfect, if comfort is your priority. The store was teeming with guests, journalists and photographers, and the models had to unglamorously weave their way through, trying hard to maintain their stylish gait. The show, put together by Sunil Menon, didn’t seem very well organised. . Overall, the show and the shoes lacked spark. However, the silver lining was 21-year-old Jason Paver, the tall and good looking heir of the Pavers clan, who was present at the do to launch his latest collection for men titled ‘Jason Paver’s Signature Collection’. Most of the women in the audience were clearly done in more by the young Paver than the 110 pairs of footwear on display.
