Get hands-on with solar technology
With the current focus on climate change and energy security, solar energy is a growing field. The job market in industries related to solar energy is estimated to have 55,000 jobs on offer globally, with a huge potential for growth. Solkar Solar Industry Limited, which has over two decades of experience in the solar energy field, has now come out with courses designed to meet the needs of the engineering graduates aspiring to enter the industry. Its subsidiary in Singapore, Eco-Solar, has started two solar technology courses through its training wing. The Eco-Solar manufacturing facility has a capacity of 15 MW solar module facility per year. A four-week career-oriented course for engineering graduates will help increase their employability in the solar energy sector. The course will comprehensively cover all the salient features of solar technology and also how a solar module is manufactured. One week of theory classes will be held in Chennai, while the practical training, with hands-on exposure, will take place at the Singapore facility over the next three weeks. Placement help is also being offered. A second course is the one-week in-plant practical course for undergraduate engineering students to be held at Singapore. This will give them both theory training and practical experience in an international setting and meet their curriculum demands. The Eco-Solar Training Institute will organise all travel and accommodation details for its students.
