Akshay in action

Akshay Kumar gives a sneak peek into his mind-blowing action scenes

Akshay Kumar believes in going full throttle when it comes to promoting his movies. The man synonymous with his artistic stunts gave a glimpse of it in the Capital recently. Here to promote Sabbir Khan’s Kambakkhat Ishq which released this Friday, Akshay performed some breath-taking manoeuvres. The Bollywood star jumped off a 60-foot high structure at DLF place in Saket even as alarge number of his supporters gathered to watch him in action.

Clad in a black full-sleeved T- shirt and blue jeans, the actor also displayed his flair for comedy before embarking on his stunt. He touched upon his character in the film – Viraj Shergill, a Hollywood stuntman. He also talked about the importance of women in the lives of men. He said, “If men are from Mars, then women are from heaven,” said the actor while standing suspended with wires from a crane.

The tough part

After performing the stunts, he spent time interacting with media persons. The 41–year –old actor said he has done almost 120 films and attended as many press meets. For Akshay, films are meant for entertainment, but the undisputed king of action here said the tough part is to make people laugh. “To make people laugh is really very hard compared to doing stunts,” he added.

His co-star Kareena Kapoor, who plays Bebo in the film, could not stop raving about him. “This is my seventh movie with Akshay Kumar and his stunts are always amazing. I love those stunts,” she said.

Akshay, however, did not forget to put in a word of caution, especially for his young admirers. He warned his fans against repeating the stunts shown in the film. He said, “These stunts are amazing but we (actors) undergo a lot of rehearsals before doing them,” he said. “Three months ago, my cousin was trying one of my glass breaking stunts from the film and he ended up with a lot of stitches. So please don’t try them,” he added.
