Launch Sushi King changes from delivery chain to restaurant

Good food is everyone’s fantasy. Some get to taste it while some only get to dream about it. Sushi King restaurant endeavours to make this dream come true. After the stupendous success of their delivery chain the husband-wife duo of Deepa and Sandeep Bansal has started Sushi King at DLF City, Gurgaon much to the delight of those bored of routine eating practices.

The proud owners of Sushi King visited many eating joints and foreign locales in search of good food, then zeroed in on Japanese cuisine. According to Deepa, “Most of the ingredients that go into our cuisines are brought in from abroad. We give a lot of importance to the quality and authenticity of the food we sell. We have chefs trained in different cuisines and dishes from reputed institutions.”

Japanese food, contrary to common misconceptions, can be really tasty and easy to eat. People normally associate sushi with raw fish but the fact remains that sushi is available in many varieties. The restaurant has an efficient staff to guide customers on how to eat sushi. Apart from this, every table has explanatory books and placards about its benefits.

Sushi is healthy as it has rice, and wine vinegar that acts as an antiseptic and sterilising agent. Wasabi, an important condiment for sushi, is rich in vitamin C. The seaweed is high in proteins and many vitamins. Sushi is pleasing to the stomach as it is fat-free, although it is not recommended for diabetics, as it is slightly sweet.

Sushi also provides a visual treat as it is adorned in such a way that a spectator just can’t hold back. According to Deepa, sushi is slowly but surely becoming the favourite of kids and grown-ups alike. Though primarily perceived as a non-vegetarian delicacy, it has a vegetarian side also. Deepa says, “We don’t use any chemicals for preserving sushi. Room temperature is ideal for sushi that can last for five to six hours. But in Japan it can last for longer as the climate out there is different.”

Burmese cuisine too

Sushi King also sells Burmese, Indonesian and Vietnamese cuisine. Even a diehard Oriental food lover can visit this place and go back contented. It also provides many amazing desserts. Although the owners have been loyal to the essence of Japanese food, they have not forgotten the Indian flavours so they have Indianised some of the cuisine. They are also planning to expand their business by including liquor on the menu.
