Lab technician course for the differently-abled

ERODE: The district administration has called for applications from the physically challenged and speech and hearing impaired persons for undergoing lab technician training. The minimum qualification is Plus Two with maths, physics, chemistry and biology, or physics, chemistry, botany and zoology.

The age limit is between 18 and 30 and the monthly stipend for the two-year course is Rs. 300.

A release says that the persons interested should have at least 40 per cent disability. The training centre is at the Government Medical College, Coimbatore. The last date for application is July 31, 2009. The applications shall be sent to the District Rehabilitation Centre, Collectorate, Erode 11.
