Brijendra interacts with staff of Vizag International School and press VISAKHAPATNAM: The greatest crime any society can indulge in is to kill the childhood of a child. All children are bright if provided the right kind of education and exposures. This was the observation of educationist Brijendra S. Bhatnagar, who was interacting with the press and staff members of Vizag International School at Korukonda on Tuesday. Highlighting the pattern of education adopted by the school, Mr. Bhatnagar said education should enable all-round development of the child, in true sense. “In the school, we believe in giving 40 to 50 per cent stress on academics and the rest on the development of the child in various areas,” he said. Spread over an area of 15 acres, the school that was launched this year has classes from LKG to Class X and follows CBSE syllabus. Total cost of the project is Rs. 50 crores and has state-of-the-art facilities like multi-facility AC classrooms with interactive white boards and DLP projectors, audio-visual, conference, training and multi-purpose halls, extracurricular activities like international exchange programmes, community service and summer space school programmes to foreign institutions. Students are trained in sports like mini-golf, squash, rugby, tennis and indoor shuttle badminton. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
