Sound of music

Enthralling performance

Melodious music

Here’s a band that makes their own music. They sing and play music, but they do not use any musical instrument. All the music that goes into their performance is the outcome of how they put their vocal chords to use. Bauchklang is a vocal beat box project from Austria and Germany. The five-member band was in town to perform at Tuborg event at Excess in Novotel. The group has won international acclaim for creating music, with no instruments. Their range and scope is truly stunning when one considers the fact that they do not use any instruments and instead rely on their throats and various voice projections to give their sound that extra edge.

Their performance bridges between break beat, hip-hop, techno, raggae, drum & bass, and more. The five met by sheer chance and when they realised that they were all doing the same with their voice, they decided to form a band and cut music albums followed by live performances.
