BANGALORE: Lets Live Together, a charitable trust for the welfare of homeless animals, held a puppy adoption camp at Karuna Animal Welfare Association here on Sunday as part of its “Life on the street” project aimed at promoting the concept of adoption of stray dogs rather buying them. As many as 16 puppies were adopted on the occasion. Achala Pani, founder trustee of Lets Live Together, said: “We pick up puppies from the street and organise camps for their adoption on a regular basis.” The trust was founded to create awareness about homeless dogs. Initiatives such as adoption would provide a more humane solution to the problem of stray dog menace in the city, she said. One of the main objectives of the organisation was to create awareness against culling of stray dogs, Ms. Pani added.
