Soderling for Chennai Open

CHENNAI: World No. 10 Robin Soderling confirmed his participation in the Aircel Chennai Open which will take place from January 4 to 10, 2010, at the SDAT Nungambakkam Stadium here.

The Swede, who famously took out Rafael Nadal at this year’s French Open before reaching the final, is expected to be one of the top attractions in the 15th year of the $450,000 ATP event.

“I am looking forward to visiting India and playing in the tournament next year,” Soderling said. — Sports Reporter
