Ajay Chautala resigns from Rajya Sabha

CHANDIGARH: Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) Secretary General Ajay Singh Chautala resigned from the membership of Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.

Mr. Chautala was elected as MLA from Dabwali Assembly constituency in Haryana in the October 13 elections.

Mr Chautala had defeated Congress nominee K.V. Singh with a margin of over 12,000 votes.

His tenure as Rajya Sabha MP was to end in August 2010.
