Orientation on ‘art of parenting’

Belgaum: The KLE Society’s Raja Lakhamagouda Pre-University College of Science will convene a meeting of parents and hold a day-long orientation programme on the “Art of Parenting” at the Dr. B.S. Jirge Auditorium in Belgaum city on Sunday.

An unusual programme for a college to host, college principal C.N. Naikar describes it as a healthy practice and goes on to add that it is important to hold discussions on different topics with parents and students.

According to him, such discussions can train students to face the challenges of the competitive world.

Mr. Naikar told presspersons here on Friday that the programme was aimed at sharing ideas on parenting with the parents of their students so that the college can build a good rapport not just with the parents and the students but also create a platform to better the communication between parents and teachers and teachers and students.

S. Shadakshari, Managing Director, Ramanashree Group of Hotels & Companies, Bangalore will deliver a lecture on “Relation between parents and children”. Chetanram R.A., Director, AMCAD, Mysore and Kshama Bhatia, Core facilitator, Corpret Fox, Bangalore will be resource persons for the event.
