This Day That Age
The President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, on November 5 paid warm tributes to the efforts of the late Principal Vaman Shivaram Apte who had compiled the first Sanskrit-English dictionary sixty years ago. Speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the revised edition of the dictionary the President said that without including in the dictionary new words and expressions used in these works, Principal Apte’s attempt would have remained incomplete. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
