KOCHI: Forest Minister Benoy Viswom has urged the student community not to ape the Western trends and practices. Delivering the inaugural address at ‘Inflore 09’, a management fest organised by the Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies here, he said there was an increasing trend to follow the Western traditions. The Minister said the need to develop the nation’s glorious practices in various fields. He encouraged them to learn more about the country’s rich heritage. The unchecked invasion being made by imperialist and capitalist forces was the major reason for the economic recession experienced across the globe. Mr. Viswom said India has a major role to play in the development of the world. K. P. Dhanapalan, MP, released the placement brochure on the occasion. P. C.
