Vigilance awareness week observed

PALAKKAD: A seminar on ‘Vigilance awareness and anti-corruption,’ organised by the Palakkad Railway Division as part of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week,’ was inaugurated by District and Sessions Judge R. Natarajan here on Friday.

Rajiv Dutt Sharma, Divisional Railway Manager, Thiruvananthapuram, who also holds the charge of the Palakkad division, presided.

Additional Divisional Railway Manager Sita Ram Sinku, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager K.P. Damodaran, Divisional Commercial Manager C. Padmadas and others spoke.

‘Vigilance Awareness Week,’ being observed from Tuesday to Saturday, was aimed at reaffirming commitment to rooting out corruption in public activity, the Divisional Manager said.

The week began with administration of a pledge emphasising the need to eradicate corruption and bring about transparency in all spheres of activities.

The pledge was administered by K. Mahalingam, Chief Medical Superintendent, Railway Hospital, Palakkad.
