Insecticides India Limited Managing Director Rajesh Aggarwal lanuching new products in Vijayawada on Friday VIJAYAWADA: Rajesh Aggarwal, managing director of Insecticides (India) Ltd (IIL), launched his company’s new products like Phentos, Pluto and Amaze in the city on Friday. The IIL, a Rajasthan-based company having operations all over the country, produces the entire range of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and so on. “Andhra Pradesh remains the largest market for pesticide business. Basically it is because of the awareness of local farmers. It is a fact that good use of pesticides leads to better productivity,” said Mr. Aggarwal. He also reiterated that a judicious use of insecticides should be promoted and their company involved various stakeholders including scientists in this awareness campaign. Addressing a press conference, Mr. Aggarwal said that their company’s business rose to Rs. 300 crore last year and this was exceeded in the first six months of this year when the turnover was put at Rs. 245 crore. They estimated that the overall turnover would go beyond Rs. 400 crore by the end of this year. “Our business comprises 8 per cent of the total Rs. 5,000 crore pesticides business in the country,” he added.
