Krishna Byre Gowda HUBLI: State Youth Congress president and MLA Krishna Byre Gowda has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was reaping what it had sown and the present political crisis in the BJP should be a lesson to all political parties in the State. Addressing presspersons here on Friday, he said that the BJP joined hands with the Janata Dal (Secular) to come to power first and launched operation lotus to remain in power later. He said that though the Chief Minister had announced that owners of houses that collapsed in the recent floods would get Rs. 35, 000 as compensation, most of them had been given only Rs. 2,000. Instead of taking remedial measures, the Chief Minister was busy politicking. He urged the Chief Minister to immediately convene a session of the legislative Assembly to discuss the problems being faced by those affected by the floods. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
