No helmet, rider dies of injuries

Bangalore: Bharath Loom (20), a student of Government First Grade College in Yelahanka, died of head injuries when his motorcycle rammed a lorry near Chikkabettakallu in Yelahanka police station limits here on Thursday morning.

The police said the victim, a resident of Chiluvepur near Hesaraghatta, was not wearing helmet.

He was riding to his college when negotiating a curve in front of a dhaba, he lost control and rammed the lorry.

The Yeshwanthpur police arrested a finance firm’s proprietor in connection with last week’s vandalism of vehicles at B.K. Nagar and Mathikere. He is Vikram Chandrabaan Singh alias Vikky (25), owner of S.L.V. Enterprises off Triveni Road near B.K. Nagar. Following business rivalry, miscreants had attacked his office and staff on October 30. He and his associates had vandalised vehicles at B.K. Nagar.
