Press Day celebrations in Margao

PANAJI: P. Sainath, Rural Affairs Editor of The Hindu, will deliver the keynote address at the State-level celebrations of National Press Day in Margao on November 16.

The function is being organised by the Department of Information and Publicity, Goa Union of Journalists, Goa Editors’ Guild and the Goa Photo Journalists’ Association.

The Department of Information and Publicity will organise a seminar on “Changing face of media”. Chief Minister Digambar V. Kamat will inaugurate the seminar.

Narendra Kumar, Secretary and Commissioner (Information and Publicity), will preside over the function.

Three senior journalists will be felicitated on the occasion. A book on Goa, “Another Goa” by Frederick Noronha, will be released by Mr. Sainath.
