Girl succumbs to swine flu

Thrissur: A 17-year-old girl from Palakkad district succumbed to A(H1N1) influenza at the Thrissur Government Medical College Hospital on Thursday night. Manjusha, daughter of Kannan from Thenmalayoram, was referred to the Thrissur Government Medical College Hospital from Palakkad District hospital on Thursday in a critical condition, according district medical office sources here.

One person has been tested positive for the influenza on Friday from Thrissur district. Eleven suspected cases were reported, and throat and nasal swabs of six cases were sent for test.
