TV channels report about duo getting ‘physically intimate’ on temple premises

VIJAYAWADA: Executive Officer (in-charge) of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamivarla Devasthanam E. Gopalakrishna Reddy on Friday issued orders suspending personal assistant L.V.V.S. Ramana Rao and a woman electrician, following a news report about the duo getting ‘physically intimate’ on the temple premises being telecast in a section of electronic media.

The news report stated that closed circuit camera of the devasthanam recorded the ‘intimate’ scenes between the two at meeting hall adjacent to Kanakadurga temple atop Indrakeeladri hill.

Mr. Gopalakrishna Reddy ordered Sharada Kumari, Assistant Commissioner of Endowments Department, to conduct an inquiry into the allegations and said that further action would be based on the inquiry report.

Though the television channel claimed that the Close-Circuit Television camera recorded the incident, he said, there was no such possibility of it happening as the meeting hall was not being covered by the cameras.

Inquiry

“Since there is an allegation, I have issued orders suspending both the employees as preliminary action. A final decision will be taken only after receiving the enquiry report,” he maintained.
