MLA’s follower murdered

Anantapur: Sreenivasa Reddy, a follower of Tadipatri MLA J. C. Diwakar Reddy and a faction leader belonging to Hinukuru village was done to death by his rivals belonging to the same village in the early hours of Friday.

According to the police, Sreenivasa Reddy, former mandal president of Mudigubba and also former chairman of the Kadiri Agriculture Market Committee was first hit by a tractor while he was on his way to Hindukuru village from Mudigubba on a motorcycle.

As he fell down Sreenivasa Reddy was attacked by seven persons belonging to his rival faction with sticks and iron rods. He died on the spot.
