Nun’s body found

Thrissur: The body of Sr. Palmeshia, 77, a nun belonging to the Holy Family Congregation, was on Friday found in a pond on the premises of the St. Joseph’s Convent at Ambakkad. The police said that inmates of the convent found Sr. Palmesia’s body around 6 p.m. “Sr. Palmesia went for a walk around 4 p.m. Inmates went in search of her when she was not seen till 6 p.m. and found the body. She had age-related infirmity and poor sight. We suspect she slipped and fell into the pond. Despite age-related illnesses, she never missed her evening walk,” a Congregation spokesperson said.
