Bala Naga Devi are in the picture. — Coimbatore: In addition to the recruitment of 4,000 constables this year, 9,000 constables and 1,000 sub-inspectors will be recruited into the Tamil Nadu Police force next year, said Director-General of Police K.P. Jain on Friday. He was taking to reporters after inaugurating the newly-constructed building for the office of the Inspector-General of Police, West Zone at Race Course. He said that the marine patrol boats in Tamil Nadu coast would be increased from six to 24 for strengthening coastal security and the number of marine police stations would be increased. All district police units were being computerised. He lauded the implementation of community policing in west zone. Additional Director General of Police, West Zone, K.
